An external hard drive is a portable storage device that connects to a computer via a USB or other external connection. It provides additional storage space for storing files, documents, photos, videos, and other data. External hard drives are often used for backing up important data, expanding the storage capacity of a computer, or transferring files between different devices. They are available in various storage capacities and are a convenient way to keep data safe and accessible. **

An external hard drive, also known as an external hard disk drive, is a portable storage device that connects to a computer via a USB or Thunderbolt cable. It provides additional storage space for storing files, documents, photos, videos, and other data that may not fit on the computer's internal hard drive. External hard drives are commonly used for backing up important data, transferring files between computers, and expanding storage capacity. They are available in various storage capacities ranging from a few gigabytes to several terabytes. **

To copy an external hard drive to another external hard drive, you can use a computer to facilitate the transfer. First, connect both external hard drives to your computer. Then, open the file explorer and locate the files you want to copy from the source external hard drive. Next, select the files and copy them to your computer's local storage. Finally, disconnect the source external hard drive and connect the destination external hard drive, then paste the copied files onto the destination external hard drive. This will transfer the files from one external hard drive to another. **

The best external hard drive option would depend on your specific needs and budget. Some popular options include the Western Digital My Passport, Seagate Backup Plus Slim, and Samsung T5 Portable SSD. These drives offer a range of storage capacities, data transfer speeds, and durability features to suit different users' requirements. It is recommended to research and compare these options to determine which one would be the best fit for your needs. **

The best external hard drive depends on your specific needs and budget. If you need a high capacity storage solution for backing up large files or storing a large media library, a larger capacity drive such as the WD My Book or Seagate Expansion Desktop would make sense. If you need a portable drive for on-the-go use, a smaller, more rugged drive like the Samsung T5 or SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD would be a better choice. Consider factors such as storage capacity, speed, durability, and price when choosing the right external hard drive for your needs. **

To determine if the external hard drive is good, you should consider factors such as storage capacity, data transfer speed, durability, and compatibility with your devices. Additionally, reading reviews and comparing the hard drive to others on the market can help you make an informed decision. It's also important to consider your specific needs and how the hard drive will be used. **

To determine if the external hard drive is defective, you can try connecting it to a different computer to see if it is recognized. If it still does not work on another computer, it may be defective. Additionally, you can check if the USB cable or port is working properly by trying a different cable or port. If the hard drive still does not work, it may be defective and you may need to contact the manufacturer for further assistance. **

The choice between online storage and an external hard drive depends on your specific needs and preferences. Online storage offers the convenience of accessing your files from anywhere with an internet connection, but it may come with subscription fees and potential security concerns. On the other hand, an external hard drive provides a physical backup of your files and does not require an internet connection, but it can be more susceptible to damage or loss. Ultimately, it's important to consider factors such as cost, accessibility, and security when deciding between the two options. **
